About Pamela
I merge my passion for history, family heritage, and writing into compelling narratives.
Pamela
Pamela Dunnam combines her passion for history, family, and writing to craft engaging historical dramas. With meticulous research, she is an inspiring storyteller. As seen in her first novel, All Manner of War, Pamela weaves stories centered on faith, family, and country, illustrating how external events influence a person's life.
She is currently working on The American Genesis Series, a new historical fiction collection set in early America. The series begins in the Colonial and Revolutionary War period with Path of the Patriots, expected in 2026.
Her debut mystery-thriller, Revenge Waits, was released in April 2026 as the first part of her three-book Revenge Trilogy.
Pamela lives in Flower Mound, TX, with her spouse, Leslie, and their border collies, Hail! and Wrigley. She is the CEO of Bellview Publishing/Book Your Memories, where she writes family memoirs that turn history into legacy.

My Approach
Researching the details for a book is the bonus of being a writer. It’s important to me that I see and touch the places I write about to understand the settings and eras of my characters. To do that, I spend a good amount of time traveling. I enjoy road trips to historic, or not-so-historic, locations that I will later include in my books.
For All Manner of War, I visited every battlefield and tried to identify where my characters might have walked, including the places where they were captured. I visited the POW camps where they were held, trying to imagine what they endured during that time. Visiting the cities ravaged by war helped me understand the perils they faced. I already knew their “home on the hill,” but I cherish the chance to return there and reconnect.
The American Genesis Series will take me to all the Colonial and Revolutionary War sites across America. Jamestown, Plymouth Bay Colony, Philadelphia, and North/South Carolina will be focal points. I will also attend a “The Pursuit of History” conference in Philadelphia with some of the foremost historians in colonial history. There are so many excellent museums that exhibit the American story very well, and I will be in many of them. Some are very small, but they often have the best information.
Genealogy is my go-to for story ideas. My family tree is full of amazing and poignant stories that provide the foundation for most of my work. Improving that craft is an ongoing journey. I have joined many of the lineage societies I am eligible for and enjoy the service roles within those groups.
